Jr./Sr. High Choir

We had a wonderful group of students in choir for the first semester, with most of them returning for the second semester!  There are also a handful of new students who are going to make great additions to the choir!  We have already begun working on some new music that I think the students are going to enjoy singing.  We will also begin working on intervals and sight singing in the coming weeks.

Best wishes to Jalen Golden as he continues to prepare for All State Choir auditions on February 6th!  He will attend an All State preparation workshop this weekend on Saturday at Henderson State University.

Seventh Grade Music:  Students' grades on unit one test were good!  I am very pleased with the performance of all the students!  We have begun a new unit of study on musicals, ballets, operas, and oratorios, which should go through Wednesday, followed by a unit on the elements of music to begin on Thursday.

In choir, All  Region students are continuing to prepare for All Region Clinic at Lake Hamilton on Saturday, November 15th.  The entire choir is working on music for Christmas, which will include a performance at White Christmas.
